Hurricanes are an unfortunate and challenging reality of living on the Gulf Coast. Their impacts are often felt long after the storm has passed. Fishermen, families, and communities may spend days, months, or even years recovering, depending on the storm's strength. In the aftermath of a storm, finding the right resources to rebuild can be difficult.
With this in mind, the Gulf of Mexico Reef Fish Shareholders' Alliance (Shareholders' Alliance) has created a disaster relief resource guide for commercial fishermen, with a particular focus on Florida. We recognize that hurricanes affect the entire Gulf, and many of the resources in this guide can be used regardless of location.
